The tragedy about reaching eternity, is the ones you leave behind have to figure it out.

All the years you held it together, held us in your hands, and you never let us go.

And now, we can’t give you even the kindness of letting you Rest In Peace.

It feels selfish, like when I would keep you up, just because I couldn’t sleep.

Tormented and torn in life, a heart held hostage by loneliness,

Now, you’ll be tormented and divided in death,

Knowing that not even then could you unite us.

Proving there is no rest for the weary.

And you deserve to rest.

The Lord is always working, let Him work on me, too.

Because my little heart does not know what to do.

Who are we to think we can touch forever?

How do you forgive the unforgivable?

Everything is always a fight.

Lord, have mercy.

Am I being selfish and stubborn, too?

If I am, we probably learned it from you.

Let not my will, but His be done.

Lord, let love conquer all, for You’ve already won.
