Before you start counting, if you’re not already, how many pounds did you lose? How much money did you make? How many trips did you take? I’ll offer you a flip side of that played-out, bunk mentality of not-enoughness.
Rather, I’d like for you to think…
How many times were you the cause of a smile?
How many people did you sit with when they were feeling lonely?
How many times did you do something scary and give it all you’ve got?
How many times did you let your spirit come to the surface of your skin and live a little?
How many times did you let the truth come out of your mouth when asked how you were doing?
How many people in your command did you help to grow and develop in their own right?
How many times were you vulnerable enough to ask for help?
How many people did you feed when they were hungry?
How many real connections did you make?
How many chances did you take?
Let’s count those, instead, my friends. Pounds, you can lose any time. And the pounds won’t remember you. But people and connecting while we can, when it’s most needed, is the very essence of life. This is how we should count our wins. Happy New Year, my friends.

Love it! 😍
