Here’s what we have to remember, folks. No matter what happens in November, WE are still going to have to find a way to coexist. We, who share offices and classrooms and hallways. That’s why I don’t get all of this blame-game finger-pointing and scapegoating. All of this separation, and hate, and bald-faced ugliness. When the administration turns over, everyone gets to go home feeling like they ran a good race. But you and I — we will be stuck with the consequences of our words. We will still have to live together, work together, etc. We will still belong to the same communities and our kids will still play together. We could live out for a long time the consequences of our behaviors. Let’s please put active thought and purpose behind them.
We must remember that the people in office REPRESENT us and with that, we must own our actions from the onset. What good is hiding behind political figures when we know that once the music starts up everybody will joyfully be skipping around the chair again? Let everything you think, say, do and vote be a representation of YOU.
Very true!!
